The National Criminal Justice Honor Society
Alpha Phi Sigma recognizes academic excellence of Undergraduate and Graduate students of Criminal Justice, as well as Juris Doctorate students. The goals of Alpha Phi Sigma are to honor and promote academic excellence, community service, educational leadership, and unity. Alpha Phi Sigma is the only Criminal Justice Honor Society which is a certified member of the Association of College Honor Societies and affiliated with the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.

The National German Honor Society, Delta Phi Alpha, seeks to recognize excellence in the study of German and to provide an incentive for higher scholarship. The Delta Phi Alpha National German Honorary Society began with the founding of the Alpha chapter at Wofford College in 1929, and now has constituent chapters at over three hundred colleges and universities throughout the United States. founded in 1931 to promote the interest of mathematics among
undergraduate students. Its chapters are located in colleges and

Order of Omega is a leadership honor society for fraternity and sorority members. The Eta Omega chapter of Order of Omega was chartered at UNA on April 22, 1987.

Order of Omega membership is limited; we are only able to initiate 5% of the total number of fraternity and sorority members at the beginning of the fall semester. However, we typically split this number and hold initiations twice a year- once in the spring and once in the fall. Those meeting the minimum standards, a junior or senior with a cumulative GPA above the all Greek average, receive an invitation to apply. Applications are scored based on fraternity and sorority involvement, community service, GPA, and campus involvement.

Order of Omega nationally offers undergraduate scholarships and graduate fellowships to members.

Phi Sigma Iota recognizes outstanding accomplishment in the study or teaching of any of the academic fields related to foreign language, literature, or culture. These fields include not only modern foreign languages, but also Classics, Linguistics, Philology, Comparative Literature, Bilingual Education, Second Language Acquisition and other interdisciplinary programs with a significant foreign language component. Phi Sigma Iota is the highest academic honor in the field of foreign languages. Pi Delta Phi is the National French Honor Society for undergraduate and graduate students at accredited public and private colleges and universities in the United States. The highest academic honor in the field of French and the oldest academic honor society for a modern foreign language in the United States, Pi Delta Phi was founded as a departmental honor society at the University of California at Berkeley in 1906. The Society was nationalized when the Beta Chapter was established at the University of Southern California in 1925. The society was admitted to membership in the Association of College Honor Societies® (ACHS) in 1967, and was officially endorsed by the American Association of Teachers of French (AATF) as the only collegiate French honor society in 1949. There are currently more than 400 chapters of the Society in the United States and two representative chapters at the American Universities in Paris and Aix-en-Provence in France.

Rho Lambda is a national sorority leadership recognition society. UNA previously had an active Rho Lambda in the early 2000s, that then went inactive for some time. The organization became active again at UNA in Fall 2019.

Rho Lambda is open to sorority women who are juniors or seniors and have a 2.5 cumulative GPA. Rho Lambda membership is limited; we are only able to initiate 10% of the total number of sorority members at the beginning of the fall semester. However, we will split this number and hold initiations twice a year - once in the spring and once in the fall.

Sigma Tau Delta is an international English honor society. The aim of the society is to promote a mastery of written expression, to encourage worthwhile reading, and to foster a spirit of good fellowship among students of the English language and literature. The society is an outgrowth of the English Club at the Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, South Dakota. Plans worked out for the local group there met the approval of heads of the departments of English in other institutions, and resulted in the nationalization of the order, under its present name, in 1924. There are at present 400 chapters of Sigma Tau Delta. Theta Delta Chapter at Florence State Teacher's College, now the University of North Alabama, received its charter on February 2, 1936.
